Life is passing you by. Every second. The Earth is spinning. You are a speck on a rock in an endless void that will stretch until it contracts. Everything is happening, with or without your permission. If this makes you feel hopeless, understand that this sentience you have is a gift. Understand that everything in your physiology is doing everything in its power to make you aware. You are here. You are reading these words. You are either sat or standing or kneeling or lying down or are suspended upside down over a shark tank. You are here, and for this fleeting, meaningless increment of time, you are experiencing this. This is life. It’s like this. And while you might feel like life happens to you, I’d ask you to reconsider how an almost imperceptible reframe might change everything. Consider that life is happening for you. All of the cosmos have arranged themselves over an infinitude of infinitudes so that you can be sitting here on your laptop at a Starbucks, or on your couch in your apartment, or suspended from a rappel line above a room full of lasers. You are here, friend. This is why “Vita” is our first value. Never forget that life is happening for you.
